Fraxinus

My next stop is Penn State to study Fraxinus genomics and the effects of Emerald Ash Borer invasion. Photograph by Barbara L. Wilson.

Artemisia tridentata

Artemisia tridentata is well-adapted to live through drought. My research on A. tridentata has been focused on genomic and phenomic responses and adaptations to drought stress.

Geographic disjunctions

My PhD research focused on testing molecular and ecological hypotheses regarding the origins of a species richness anomaly between florae disjunct between eastern Asia and North America. While many plant clades occur only in these two regions, eastern Asia has far more species!
